It is conveniently located just off I-94 and Highway 16.  Just 20 minutes west of Milwaukee, 40 miles north of Illinois, and very close to Lake Michigan.  General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee is just a 30 minute drive.

The Lake Country Recreation Trail covers 16 miles between Oconomowoc and Pewaukee. A short drive outside of Pewaukee can take you to Retzer Nature Center and Lapham Peak, a Wisconsin state park located in the Kettle Moraine State Forest.

Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) is in Pewaukee. Military bases nearby include the US Air Force Reserve, Wisconsin Air National Guard, and the Great Lakes Naval Training Center.
