The convenience of Milwaukee’s proximity makes Menomonee Falls a great place for commuters who appreciate tranquility after work. The population is approximately 40,000, making it the most populous village in Wisconsin. Menomonee Falls is also the fourth largest community in Waukesha County.

As of the 2010 census, there were 35,626 people and 14,567 households. 23% of residents were under the age of 18; 6% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24% were from 25 - 44; 30% were from 45 - 64; and 18% were 65 years of age or older. Menomonee Falls is popular with both retirees and professionals. The median age in the village is 43 years and the average age is 39 years.

History of Menomonee Falls

By 1910, automobiles started being sold in the village, which led to an increase in paved roads. By 1919, Highway 15 connected Menomonee Falls to Milwaukee and Illinois and, by 1922, to Green Bay. In the 1950s Interstate 41 was completed, providing easy access to Milwaukee jobs. Currently, Kohl’s, Harley-Davidson, and Wells Fargo are among the top employers in Menomonee Falls, which has an overall poverty rate of just 3.72%.
