The Town of Lisbon is located in north central Waukesha County, Wisconsin. Lisbon is mainly a residential community with a current population of 10,250, over 170 acres of park land, and three golf courses. With a small town atmosphere, and only 20 minutes from Milwaukee, it offers residents the best of both worlds. As of the census of 2000, the median age was 39 years and the median income for a household in the town was $70,000.

Lisbon Community Park is a great park for the whole family. There are trails, great picnic grounds, and sledding and ice skating in winter. Ice skating rinks are maintained during the months of December, January, and February.

The park also hosts a few annual events such as Winterfest, where you can play in the snow or relax by the campfire with family and friends! Enjoy free refreshments, sledding, playing king of the hill, ice skating, roasting your hot dogs and marshmallows, and other favorite winter activities.

In Spring there is the Easter Extravaganza, where you can stroll through the park with your Easter basket and collect treats from local businesses and organizations. Have your picture taken with the Easter bunny and search for Easter eggs in the prairie grass.

Heritage Weekend includes children’s games and old-fashioned dancing, customs, and trades. It’s a journey through history brought together by over 75 re-enactors from various time periods. Enjoy a special visit with Dr. Benjamin Franklin in his living room, watch the Circle Masters fly their planes on Saturday, and participate in an old-fashioned baseball game on Sunday. Then, you can take a tram ride to the Union Cemetery and learn more about the early settlers of Lisbon.

The Lannon Baseball Association and the Sussex-Lisbon Youth Baseball Association offer hardball and softball for boys and girls. The Sussex Softball Association has leagues available for men, women, and church groups. The Sussex Lions offer flag football in the fall, for boys and girls. The Kickers of Wisconsin and the Sussex Soccer Club offer soccer for boys and girls in Town of Lisbon parks. The Lake Country United Soccer Club focuses on the goal of making the sport available to school-age kids of all ability levels who are interested in playing.

There is an access point to The Bugline Recreation Trail at Lisbon Community Park. The trail stretches from Appleton Avenue in Menomonee Falls to Main Street in Merton. Biking and hiking are allowed on the entire 10.5 mile distance, with no motorized vehicles allowed.
